NWMF1015 MVS JCL Level 2
DESCRIPTION
This 2 day course is oriented to students who have a general
knowledge of JCL who are interested in more advanced JCL topics, such as
the use of Procedures and Generation Data Groups. An overview of
several IBM Utilities and the SORT program are also presented.
AUDIENCE
Students with 1 to 2 years of programming experience and/or
students who currently use JCL in current positions.
OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this seminar, the student will be able to:
- Describe the use of Conditional JCL.
- Describe the purpose of Generation Data
Groups and their use.
- Code Procedures using symbolic
parameters.
- Use JCL to override a Procedure.
- Select and use the IEBCOPY, IEBGENER,
SORT, and IDCAMS utility as required.
