DESCRIPTION
This 1 day course will help organizations prepare their applications for the differences associated with migrating DB2 for z/OS to Version 9. The course is not intended to be a step by step exercise in performing the migration. It will, rather, help the attendee assess the level of change they can anticipate when they migrate and help them prepare for and react to the differences of the new release.
AUDIENCE
This course is intended for Database Administrators, DB2 System Programmers and Application Architects that are preparing to migrate DB2 for z/OS subsystems to DB2 9.
OBJECTIVES
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will:
- Understand the phased approach of the migration
- Be able to determine how applications will react to each phase
- Be equipped to develop a successful migration and test plan
