Discussion and mini-workshops focus on the COBOL dialect differences between the 1974 ANSI COBOL standard and the 1985 ANSI COBOL standard. The differences among the IBM COBOL compilers are also discussed and illustrated. The impact of IBM’s Language Environment (LE) Product on the COBOL environment is also addressed.
