The four major phases of the DBLC include: Conceptual Design, Logical Design, Physical Design, and Design Implementation. It is assumed that the Conceptual Design phase has been completed, and that the conceptual data model with the base Entity Diagrams and the process model with all major process requirements identified, have been completed and accepted. The major focus of the course will be on the Logical, Physical and Implementation of Relational Database Systems as they apply to DB2.
